VF.     22/JA/1929 MASISEA - Lima (by airplane) - Vienna (by ship): Registered cover with spectacular multicolor postage including Sc.C1 (Marinerito). Masisea was one of the 2 air bases used to carry mail between Iquitos and La Merced, and from there the letters were forwarded to their final destination. This cover (the dispatching cancel is undated) arrived in Lima on 22/JA/1929, and from there it continued to Austria, it is certainly a very unusual and possibly unique piece, it paid 90c. for postage + 1S. airmail charge, excellent quality!
