896 FRANCE - POSTAL HISTORY
Auction #1843: THE ANISIO STOCK - PART XVIII
Cover /      Cat.#:
VF.     Entire letter dated Bordeaux 10/SE/1818 sent to London, with several postal and due marks on front and back, including the framed "P.P.P.P." in red (PORT PAYEE POUR PARIS). The text (in Spanish) is an interesting consideration about a cheese load that arrived rotten due to the long delays of the ship, because it had to stay in the port of Quimper between March and July to have some damages repaired after a heavy storm. Very interesting, excellent quality!
